After two nights with the Mets at RFK, I'm almost speechless. It was good seeing Edgy again and meeting Valadius although I don't know if I said anything coherent to either of them. It wasn't a good night for small talk or even coherent talk. At one point, I think I yelled "You suck Teddy Roosevelt!" This might make sense if you've seen the presidents races at RFK (and no, I wasn't drinking). Pre-game, I was in earlier than ever as the place opened early for season ticket holders. I've never seen the team come out of the dugout en mass and stretch. I saw the same guy I mentioned yesterday--Kevin, a Mets fan from Alaska. I told him about this forum and I hope he joins us. During the game, the same drunk, angry Mets fan was in the row in front of me... although his lovely wife wanted me to know that he wasn't drunk, just angry. At one point, he put on a Mets jersey and a bag over his head. Big picture, it was a terrific game. However, I'm not ready for the big picture at this time.
