    I'd say "unbelievable" but it is, even with Jake on the mound. The Marlins get runners in scoring position and they score. The Mets get runners in scoring position and they stay there.

    It's the trade deadline and a younger version of Yoenis isn't walking into that lockerroom. After yesterday, trade 'em all. Or better yet, none of them and let the new regime figure it out... but we know that BVW is open for business as the Mets are just 1.5 out of a playoff spot. The fact that they are "out" tells you how this year is going and everyone other than Pittsburgh is within a few games so being close isn't a great distinction. Joel Sherman said yesterday that the Mets want a catcher.
