    "Due to an abundance of caution", the entire weekend series with the MFYs is canceled. Hopefully, they will be able to play on Monday as both teams have off-days. This means more time for you to 1) talk to your spouse/partner/children; 2) clean; 3) do yard work; 4) watch the NBA; 5) watch the NHL (Islanders!); 6) look out the window and wait for the Mets to return.

    The key word in the above is "tomorrow". He's trying to win two games but he can only control this one. Win today's game and worry about tomorrow when it's tomorrow... but that's not what he did (unless something is wrong with Lugo).

    I saw Pablo Cruise 3 years ago and I'm a fan but it was a long night. I could have used a crisp, hour-long hits set rather than a full headliner set with an intermission.     BIG CONTROVERSY last night in Texas as Fernando Tatis, Jr. swung at a 3-0 pitch and hit a SLAM while his team was winning 10-3 in the 8th!     Both. The throw was bad (it should have been an E and not a hit for Ramos), Giminez was running on the pitch and kept running until he met his demise at home.

    Hey Mr. Wilson, did you see how fast the catcher moved from right to left, covered just enough of the plate to alter the runner's slide while giving him a legal lane to the plate and got his glove all the way to the ground, or were you huffing and puffing after running 90 feet, something you aren't used to doing this season?

    Turns out a 6-0/5 start, so to speak, was setting our Matz expectations a bit high. If Gselly can get stretched out, and WockaWocka and Jake are healthy... he looks like a prime candidate for longman/swingman doody. "doody" fits.

    Ronnie actually said that Matz "has been a pleasure to watch" because he pitched 4 whole innings and gave up only 1 run. Not so pleasurable anymore. Perhaps Matz should be a reliever.

    There's talk that teams will be able to add 15 players to the alternate site as there aren't enough to field 2 teams for a game.
