The new Easton Assassins ownership has reached out to the owners of the park in Guadalajara, Mexico (where the Cornballers used to call home) to check on the park's availability for the upcoming season. Usage of the Cornballerâ„¢ machine in the concession area during our inaugural season sadly resulted in numerous injuries to staff and patrons alike, so the Guadalajara tenants have refused all attempts to renew our partnership, citing "current and pending litigation," whatever that implies. As such, we have contacted a number of municipalities in the US, Canada and Mexico and have found one eager taker: the city of Pawnee, Indiana. There is a small park on the border of Pawnee and the neighboring town of Eagleton that Mayor Knope has invited our club to use for free, on one condition. We must pay tribute to the storied history of Pawnee and their native ancestors by adorning our uniforms with the name and colors of their legacy mascot, the Pawnee Drunken Savages. We have happily accepted! We'll see you on the field soon, Pawneeans!
