    Incredible film. Beautifully shot. *** light spoilery stuff below *** Nice and charming dude, but definitely one or two screws loose. How bad did that guy's parents fuck him up? The scenes where his climbing and camera buddies were struggling because they didn't want to be complicit in his death were so compelling.

    I missed ep2, but ep3 was his first solo podcast and he talked about baseball in general (he's not in favor of changing the game to appeal to young/new fans and thinks players will simply adjust to this or that thing that is the current front office inefficiency). He talked about how important velocity is for a young pitcher in a way that made me think of Mike Pelfrey/Rick Peterson. But he was also heady enough to know that it's important, but not everything as he talked about Jason Vargas schooling Brooklyn hitters on a rehab assignment. Next podcast is from spring training! Go Tommy!

    So I listened to ep1 yesterday. It was basically Tommy chatting with his friend and former teammate at Cal State Fullerton. His friend was 'the guest' so they focused that guy's playing days in the Mexican league, etc. It was a first episode and it kinda lacked structure a bit (more like a couple of buddies just bullshitting) but it has potential to be cool and could be a great vehicle for a professional baseball player to describe what it's like week-in and week-out in the minors. I'm hopeful.
