    A little too silly at points (going through a succession of waterfallls completely unscathed, for example), but still a lot of fun.

    Better than I thought it would be, but I wasn't expecting much. A few less songs would have made a better movie, as some of the songs just seemed really forced. But it had the makings of a workable story, and I didn't cringe for the full two hours.

    The West Side New Dealers are my friend Andrew. His fantasy teams usually have FDR-related names, like the Roosevelt Brain Trust.

    So far we only have four teams. I'm guessing the four people already registered are the ones who'd be perfectly happy with a 24-hour wait period. Everybody else will probably want more time, but once we get a firm number for the league size we could vote on it. Not sure how I feel about team size. I actually think it was more of a challenge to have extra roster holes to fill -- in a 13-team league, the pickings are very slim for that fourth outfielder spot. But there's room for debate on that too.

    Thanks to nymr for running things, to everybody for playing and making it fun, and to Vic for putting up one hell of a fight. I wish I felt more like celebrating, though.

    I feel like the Mets; I've been in front most of the way, but the lead really feels tenuous. Those three teams just one point behind me in BA are making me very nervous. Then again, I'm amazed that I'm where I am given that none of the trades I made at the beginning of the year have really helped me at all. (Bedard, Youkilis and Drew for Konerko and Bush? I didn't really do that, did I?)
