6. Yanks get Amed Rosario for 2 ****** prospects
7. Tuff on lefties but also needs to get the righties out
8. I don't know **** about him other than he was on the Phillies at some point
9. I don't really believe in trading Jett Williams for a relief pitcher either but who knows if he makes it through this deadline
10. That's great. I love the traffic noise from the Grand Central and how they made Hendu's grounder to short look like a HR
11. I will tell you in a headline CLASE CLOSED Mets grab Guardians' stopper for Acuna, Vientos, Williams, and 2 ****** relievers
12. Bobby V said his surgery left one leg longer
13. I think I saw Some Guy On The Internet predicting he's going to the Yankees, so pre-emptively, **** him
14. He's a legit masher. The only question is to trade away X years of Baty or Vientos to get him
15. Racetrack developers missed the whole small charming stadia thing that was happening in baseball and starting in the 90s built a bunch of cookie-cutter 1.5 mile ovals in **** cities all over with capacities of 90,000 or so. Many of them don't host Nascar at all anymore; almost all of them have drastically reduced capacity. Daytona at one time sat 170,000 and now max out at 100,000. Dover Downs went from 130,000 to 54,000 -- it was all grandstand so they just took big chunks out.
16. The unbeatable Cincinnati Reds take on the Braves at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee on August 2. I don't mind these one-off games in unique locations. This one will have a heavy integration with Nascar. They released uni designs today -- they will wear thrusting chromy numerals like the cars have--Reds on the front and back. Reds get checkered flag hat brims and Braves get flames. Start your engines!
17. I agree it's not a good movie and that the kids all overact. There was a good amount of hotness. It reminded me a lot of Car Wash, where there's a lot of chaos over the course of one work day. That movie also comes off as raggedy but was much better. I didn't buy into a lot of the shenanigans in this one. There's no way a retail employee steals $9000 and doesn't spend months in jail.
18. Hijinks are in heavy rotation at a lively and scuffling indy record store.
19. I was looking up these guys as they were picked. Robertson is one of those "all glory to God" guys apparently with leadoff man speed. Truman Pauley will probably make it to the big leagues and pitch a few years, getting by on his wits, then become a front office executive. I like Frank Camarillo to become one of those guys who bobs between the Mets and AAA in 2028-29, assigned No. 74. Hard to follow these guys' college careers anymore as they transfer frequently in search of NIL $$. It'll get to a point soon if not already, they they will make better money playing in college than the pros
20. I saw this when it was new in the theater. As I recall you could do worse trying to impress your movie date but altogether not great. It might be time-capsule fun today.
21. Now belongs to the Yankees
22. This sounds like a movie I wouldn't want to watch.
23. RIP Lee
