  1. Dear Typewriter Chewing Gum Co., What's on the back of your Checklist cards? Sincerely, Joe Fonebone
  2. Orosco tied with Familia at 64
  3. Benjamin Grimm wrote: No Jesse Orosco? Huh! No I think I overlooked him. Lemme double check. ST stats come from a secret source that had revealed discrepancies from the "official" record
  4. I think in a real organization the handling of this whole thing-- plus the dumb rule changes--would get a CEO fired, but Manfred doesn't work for us as much as he pretends to.
  5. Backup catchers get lots of ST action. Hodges was a good guess for that reason (plus his longevity). It is funny that Wilson backed up Piazza and got more ST PT. By the way, I won't make this a quiz but the pitchers with most spring game appearances: Franco 107 Feliciano 71 Koosman 67 Parnell 66 Familia 64 McGraw 61 Gooden 56 Seaver 56 Sisk 50 Swan 50 I think it's possible we play too many ST games these days
  6. You guys drilled down to the 2 guys I figured would be guessed last. As I have a lot or work to do, the Mystery Mets are 1. Ed Kranepool (287 games) -- B. Grimm* 2. 9. Not Davis (87) or Boswell (109). Clue: 2 of them were 2019 Mets, 2 weren't
  10. Piazza is just off the board at #21, had he not had that confrontation with Mota... Backman was correct... also correcting mistyped strawman games played. 4 left: 2 outfielders, 1 catcher, 1 infielder 1. Ed Kranepool (287 games) -- B. Grimm* 2. David Wright (221 games) -gwreck 3. 18. Spring training stats don't count, but they do in this special quiz. Name the 20 Mets with the most appearances in spring training games of all time -- (1962-2019) One guess per response, no double dips, bonus if you correctly place the Met game-leader in his proper slot. Extra credit/hint: The top 20 are all position players. Name the top pitcher in appearances as well. Go.
  19. Everyone thought Hellickson would be great, wasn't really though. Baseball is hard to be really good at.
  20. Whatever. Phillies are better, Mets worse, now that they have Wheeler and we don't. Being an asshole on top of that, it's just so ugly.
  21. Terrific player, not necessarily during his brief time with the Mets
  22. I'm going with an Arod-Cohen Consortium
  23. I have to say, I find Arod's enthusiasm about baseball is refreshing. He's of course a fool who cheated the game he loved, but I don't doubt he really loved it. I don't think I want him to own the Mets, though. Ed Kranepool should get his guys together again.
  24. It's a bad look for BVW. I also sort of disagree with him.
  25. 2 of the years biggest hits. Probably Wifey Buckets favorite Met
