  3. This was not the IGT we were looking for? https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/018/682/obi-wan.jpg> Yeah I know that probably deserves the bored rimshot as well, but I couldn't resist (no Star Wars pun intended) =
  4. If this was the actual IGT you would have been instructed ... http://giphygifs.s3.amazonaws.com/media/SUeUCn53naadO/giphy.gif> =

Well, personally, I would fuck off, but that's me. I failed, most spectacularly in fact, to read a room and got caught up trying to answer one too many loaded questions by trolls, even after I said I was stopping. Fairly certain my righty affiliation is known here? Plus Namor has all that covered in these parts. I understand being conservative or leaning right. Abortion is a very tough issue. I agree immigration laws need to be enforced. And I'm certainly not happy when I pay taxes. But to support this President. Man. I lose you there Steve. I don't actually support the Narcissistic Cheeto in Chief, ‘Bucket is reading too much into some posts where I go after biased opinions on anyone with an ® next to the name where they'd treat a Dem with kid gloves.

I just figured he smoked A LOT of angel dust. Rogers a Trump guy? *removes sneaker and hurls it at his head* Fuck it, just picture Austin Powers questioning Random Task's weapon of choice...honestly!?

I'd chalk that up to a hack and a rag trying to stir the pot, making it easier on fans if he's part of a package in a couple of days. Just immaturity after thinking for weeks he'd land in midst of a legit playoff race. Compare that to Delgado who once used his no-trade clause to NIX a trade from the Jays to a contender.

To shy away and/or back out on a previous commitment because the team is in a slump, on the other hand, looks particularly bad. Fair, but my point wasn't that he kept a promise/commitment, it was the venue that the commitment was in. Would it have been better served being in a section closer to his suite if he had to be called away for an urgent call or something that couldn't wait until the morning? I'd probably say that would have been a better look than the section behind center. Though now that I think of it, aren't the actual offices right there, which would be more appropriate to go to for conducting business than the suite I guess. I think it was more the overt spectacle of it that makes it cringe worthy than if it was somewhere else in the park, or like at a bar/restaurant party setting.
  15. =41Forever post_id=15070 time=1562255333 user_id=69] Disagree, Steve. I think there's value in maintaining a positive relationship with fans.
  16. =Ceetar post_id=15065 time=1562248249 user_id=102] luckily he has assistants and is entitled to not work 24/7.
  17. I'm still wondering why he felt the need to keep his promise to do it. The only scenario where it would have been appropriate to keep, and not look like a tone deaf douchebag (never mind the idea of dealing with either trolls or sycophants in the sections) would have been if the Mets were comfortably in first, and no major injuries in several weeks. In other words, a perfect scenario where there are no pressing major league roster concerns, or need to add a piece or send off pieces to contenders. Yeah I know on a Tuesday evening in early July you probably aren't going to be getting much work done that couldn't be done or followed up on Wednesday morning, but still it probably would have looked better if he was back in his usual suite watching the game, and giving off the impression that he was still at work fixing the roster, etc. Hanging with the fanbase (say they had an outing to watch a road game at Foley's) is one thing, doing in it in a situation where it looks like you aren't doing your job isn't another.
  18. I don't know if they've even called him "Hawkeye" in the movies! It's always "Barnes." But he's our guy and we're sticking with him! Plus, his kids like baseball. In Avengers, before he and Selvig are taken by Loki, he's hanging out in the rafters and gets jokingly referred to as “Hawkeye.” By the same token, Avengers I think is the only time Natasha Romanova gets referred to as “Black Widow.” During her “interrogation” scene when Agent Coulson calls her.
  19. I'm waiting for the Adrian Toomes jokes!

  21. AFAIK the Mets have worn the specific year's BP jerseys as their ST garb since around that time (84-87) So then what are you referring to when you write about Seaver wearing the '87 roads during ST ''87? Curious here. EXTENDED! I.e. during the summer I thought was where Seaver was doing his attempt. Not in the actual March camp. Oh I see. Summer Spring training. When is extended Spring Training usually then? I know that is a genuine thing, still to this day. And FWIW, Seaver ended the attempt literally on the second day of summer! https://www.amazinavenue.com/2013/6/22/4455088/this-date-mets-history-june-22-tom-seaver-retireshttps://www.amazinavenue.com/2013/6/22/4455088/this-date-mets-history-june-22-tom-seaver-retires

  23. You can even find a card released by one of the major companies of Seaver in the aformentioned uniform styles! https://www.tradingcarddb.com/Images/Cards/Baseball/1512/1512-78Fr.jpg> https://www.tradingcarddb.com/Images/Cards/Baseball/13211/13211-DE6Fr.jpg>
