  1. The Mets could have used their off day to skip someone and get DeGrom an extra start (3 more instead of 2 more all on normal rest) but they apparently wont do so. Isn't this tantamount to saying the season is lost? Terrible mind boggling stupidity.
  2. It doesn't have to be literal dollars or an illegal bribe. Trump could have legally promised to help Graham with his legislative priorities. Wilpon could have promised Alonso a big Mets donation to his favorite charity of he would just shut up and play and quietly put the FDNY hat away.

  5. "Darnold got mono from Familia who pitched through it all season, the bullpen will be fine"
  6. =Gwreck post_id=22052 time=1568644308 user_id=56] Without a playoff appearance, there's no way Callaway returns, right? Right?

Frayed Knot wrote: was the $92 fee mentioned upfront when he bought this year's tickets? -- seeing as how he had to call the ticket office after the fact to find out what the charge was for, the charge was apparently neither mentioned upfront nor explained on the bill if so, quit whining! -- not sure putting a 'Because we feel like it' line on the bill makes it A-OK to charge you more than others for the exact same product or service The blue plate special today is $9.95, unless of course you don't also agree to come back for dinner next week and pre-pay for that meal now in which case we're charging you $12.95 Just because he had to call didn't mean it wasnt already spelled out. And I'm not asking if it was spelled out when he bought playoff tickets, after already investing in the regular season. I'm asking if it was laid out in the pricing he was shown when he signed up for 2019 season tickets before actually paying anything.
  8. Damn. Strike one looked outside live too, but not egregiously so
  9. Cano giving us life! Punch runner please?
  10. was the $92 fee mentioned upfront when he bought this year's tickets? if so, quit whining! if not, fuck the yankees! (well, fuck them anyway!)
  11. they should have worn the hats and Wilpon should have announced he'll pay any fines assessed to players with a matching donation to FDNY charities
  12. 90 Seth Lugo 70 Justin Wilson 30 Luis Avilan 7 Brad Brach 6 Paul Sewald 5 Walker Lockett 4 Chris Mazza 3 Tyler Bashlor 2 Daniel Zamora lobby - Drew Gagnon basement - Edwin Diaz indian burial ground beneath the basement - Jeurys Familia
  13. =ashie62 post_id=21757 time=1568320338 user_id=90] Mets have not lost since my give up day. Had Lagares on my DFS to cross the line
  14. Lagares really needs to get the runner in from 3rd there for that 10th run. does he not know who is in the bullpen behind him waiting to fuck it up again?
  15. What new and exciting ways will the bullpen find to lose this game? we can only wait and see!
  16. Edgy MD wrote: The whole "Let's save this reliever for tomorrow" strategy? That's some smoking bullshit. its not like Diaz couldnt have blown it himself, he has sucked ass all year. it was criminal to not upgrade this bullpen at the deadline.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Nido pinch-hitting over Canó? you gotta go with the better hitter. a rare smart move! McNeil!! come on guys, gotta Diaz-proof this lead!
  18. Edgy MD wrote: Nimmo came back hitting .200. Can you imagine if 2018 Nimmo is back? would solve a lot of problems on BOTH sides of the ball with a lot less outfield time for good hitters who dont belong in the outfield (McNeil, but especially Davis) the problem here is sucktard Cano. if he gets back into the lineup its going to hurt the Mets everywhere.
  19. With an even average bullpen, the 2019 Mets would have been a real contender.
  20. It wasn't Mets season when my first child was born, we watched a lot of VIKINGS during late feedings. Nice to have the somewhat-relevant Mets on tv for the second kid...
  21. =G-Fafif post_id=20311 time=1567130091 user_id=55] That sound you just heard was the stopping of the presses that were printing postseason tickets.
  22. Edgy MD wrote: One can platoon Panik and Fray-Fray with McNeil bouncing between second and third. If players are really coming back, and coming back ready to play, over the next few weeks, that could be the team's last best hope. It'll at the very least allow the manager to sit some of the more gassed players. McNeil, Nimmo, Lowrie, Nido, Canó, and Smith — if they return, they'd all likely have at least something to offer: ("Nimmo still doesn't look like his 2018 self, Gar, but I still think a lot of credit needs to go to him for not being Aaron Altherr.") its going to be interesting to see how things all mesh together if everyone is healthy in September with an expanded roster. what ARE the ideal lineups at this point? Vs Right: 1B Alonso, 2B McNeil, SS Rosario, 3B Lowrie, RF Conforto, CF Nimmo, LF Smith Vs Left: 1B Alonso, 2B McNeil, SS Rosario, 3B Frazier, RF Conforto, CF Nimmo, LF Davis this is probably where I go - but are we really going to keep Cano on the bench where he belongs?
  23. This probably isn't a must-win from a wild card perspective but it might be if the Mets want to retain any thoughts of winning the division. Lets go Mets! Beat that pitcher we should have signed!
