  1. Mota in the 8th. I'd rather give someone news a chance with this score
  2. thats 2 posts in a row that were edited i think
  3. oh and umm... M-V-P? i was discussing it last night with a friend... he's 10th in the league or so in OPS, 6th in OBP... nobody higher than him will currently make the playoffs (and we know that matters to the voters, even if it shouldn't)
  4. 3-2 Mets on the Wright-bomb to the opposite field!
  5. ]Most recently he called Albert Pujols a "motherfucker" after a basepath play (Pujols didn't slide on a close play, forcing Phillips to throw around him, leading to an error and 4 runs. Pujols vowed instead to "knock him into left field"). peg him. hard. he'll learn to slide next time.
  6. General Sherman of course. He swept Atlanta too.
  7. 8 hours at most if you are willing to take a speeding ticket or two (and remember, out of state speeding tickets are not points on your license)
  8. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
  9. Delgado gets the lead runner at 2nd
  10. David Buckner?

  12. Feliciano is mowing them down, his 3rd straight strikeout looking.
  13. Pelfrey gets out of it!
  14. sac fly scores 1 and the other runners stay put, i'll take that.
  15. shit bases loaded. shit schoenweis in the bullpen.
  16. Chipper walks to end the perfect game in the 4th. Texiera ends the no-hitter. The most important thing (the shutout) is still alive but in serious danger
  17. who is on the mound and where did mike pelfrey go?
  18. that Seattle doubleplay was a great play, the anouncer even said "basehit" before immediately following it with "Noooo!!!!!", the secondbaseman made a diving stop and flipped to the SS under hand from the floor, he leaped over the runner to throw to first. not only was the anouncer too eager for the basehit, he also called "doubleplay" before the ball even left the shortstop's hand on the way to first
  19. Edgy DC wrote: ="Nymr83"]...if people want to kill themselves they'll find a way.... This isn't true. "Easy access to lethal methods" is one of the primary risk factors in suicide, as "easy access to clinical interventions and support" is a protective factor. if driving to the bridge and jumping off is "easy access" its even easier to get in your car and leave the engine on in the garage... and its painless
  20. don't most bridges have phones anyway, dating back to the pre-historic age before cellphones when broken down vehicles needed a way to call a towtruck?
  21. the splits also say lefties are hitting .244/.272/.294 off of him in 119 ABs this year, i suppose we find a mid-inning lefty or two for him this year
  22. Delgado 6th, Jones 7th....who has had the bigger falloff this year?
  23. between smg and vic sage, goodluck to both.
  24. i agree with the decision of the CA authorities, if people want to kill themselves they'll find a way, theres no reason to take away from everyone else's enjoyment of a national landmark. i'd feel differently if we were taling about accident prevention (say if people walking across the brooklyn bridge fell off with any regularity.)
