  1. Taguchi hits it over Chavez's head and its tied, and still 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs. FUCK
  2. Rockin' Doc wrote: Sanchez and Smith doing their best to make people appreciate Wagner. smith came in and got a ground ball to the shortstop, theres 0 blame on him this inning.
  3. fuckin reyes can't even step on the base????
  4. 8 strong innings for santana, and not a walk to be found, thats the kind of outing i want to see.
  5. pretend you are a flamboyantly gay man with a man-purse, they will fear a discrimination suit and let you right in. i'm glad they changed the sun lotion policy, because that was just absurd.
  6. well i knew who Dent was too, but some might consider it a spoiler to hear that he become two-face in this movie, they could have introduced Dent without that happening.
  7. wow thats even dumber than i thought it would be.
  8. i'd be shocked if that was it, this franchise has nolan ryan, tom seaver, and doc gooden
  9. i'll go with "number of curses directed at his former pitching coach" yeah, i really don't know
  10. it was great, i gave it a 5 in the poll. !!!SPOILER ALERTS!!! all the major parts (batman, joker, gordon, dent) were very well acted. the only slight problem i had was the woman who replaced katie holmes as rachel dawes, she just didnt seem that into the role. the plot was great, the staten island ferry being in the movie gave everyone a good laugh (i saw it here on staten island after all), and the 2nd villain (two-face towards the end) didnt hurt the film at all the way it did in spiderman 3 where venom felt forced.
  11. Phillips heard us talking about him.
  12. Pelfrey leads off the 6th, I feel like willie would have pinch-hit here with Pelfrey having gone 5 and allowed 4
  13. bmfc1 wrote: ="OlerudOwned"]Brandon Phillips is something bordering ridiculous. I'd hate to be a fan of a team w/the GM that traded him. Oh, wait. i wish people would get off that BS already, omar was managing a team that had been taken over by mlb and was in danger of imminent contraction, he tried to trade guys who would never have played in Montreal anyway to help win then.
  14. i heard it broke SpiderMan 3's opening night box office record. i'm going to see it later today, hope it lives up to the hype.
  15. i dont know if that zeroes out to raised prices or not, i'm sure they make more money off it than they otherwise would or else they wouldnt do it, but does that money come from higher prices or higher attendance at the cheaper games? i've seen some huge crowds at some $5 games the last few years, i'm not sure i would have ever seen a crowd like that in the past (on a week night in april/may)
  16. i would hope that they WILL be doing that, i could care less what the yankee series costs as i have no interest in that zoo, i tend to go on week nights anyway when its cheapest.
  17. i dont care if the front row costs $1,000 a seat because i dont pay for those anyway, i'll reserve judgment until i see the price of the cheapest seat which is all i'm paying for on a semi-related note did anyone hear Mara on WFAN the other day for about half an hour talking about the Giants "personal seat license"?
  18. Mets out in front on a throwing error 1-0
  19. thats ok. we'll go for another streak starting tommorow. this was the least painful loss in awhile, i hope all our losses follow 10 game winning streaks.
  20. the Brewers managers plans to platoon Dave Bush and Seth McClung in the 5th starter's spot based on Bush's superb home numbers and horrible road numbers. I can't remember a team ever explicitly doing this before. Is there any statistical evidence that home/road splits for a pitcher are anything more than a statistical anomaly (after taking into account park effects of course)?
  21. if they expanded the rosters you'd just have guys going 1/3 of an inning so more people could play. these staffs have more starters on themt han normal staffs, they should be able to go 40 innings without a problem if they didnt have this "get everyone in and hten be suprised when nobody is left" philosophy.
  22. FOX guys talking about "solutions" to the tie problem, and ignoring the obvious one: don't bring pitchers in for 1 inning each, if this game is going to count for something then the starter needs to go five, each closer needs to go a full inning, and any other starter that pitches needs to go 3. you wont run out of pitchers that way and i dont care who doesnt get to pitch. if you want everyone to play then the game shouldnt count for anything, then it can be managed like an exhibition game as it currently is
  23. Navarro gunned down at the plate by Mcclouth to keep the game alive
  24. fox anouncers suxking AL dick saying kinsler was safe.... where were the zoom-in replays when the NL player was safe at 2nd?
