  2. Pelfrey pops up vizquel, good job getting out of it without damage short bench tonight, use A.Reyes to hit for pelfrey here so as not to waste Aguila? (Castro is a the backup C, anderson is useless, and church is not available, thats everyone right?)
  3. booooo come on wright, make the play
  4. Pelfrey pitching the 7th despite a pitch count around 100, thats what i like to see.
  5. I'd have been there tommorow night had Santana faced Lincecum as originally scheduled, with the revamped matchups we decided not to bother. make me regret staying home pelfrey.
  6. If Harden was going to become a FA after this year i'd say Oakland ripped off the Cubs, but He's still under their control until the end of NEXT season, which makes me wonder if they couldn't have gotten more for him either July 31st of this year or during the offseason.
  7. 5 innings sounds good, take him out before he gets hurt.

  9. i said over a month ago that Ibanez would make a nice target, and he's not THAT good of a player that we need to deal a top prospect like F-Mart or Niese, a couple of lesser guys may get the job done.
  10. Cameron isn't good enough to be worth trading Perez for in my opinion.

    Feliciano!

The notion that it's a factor beyond a pitcher's control is still one I don't buy. i would expect pitcher A's babip to conform to pitcher A's historical babip, even if i were to reject the notion that babip will regress to a league average i think feliciano has been unlucky with leadoff singles this year

    Feliciano!

7 walks and a hbp to 46 batters isn't good, 9 k's doesnt quite cut it the real problem is that the 24 guys that neither struck out, got on base via balls (or hbp), or homered are 12-24 (with one reaching via error). and they've all been singles. that BABIP will come down.
  13. ="John Cougar Lunchbucket"]="bmfc1"]="Zvon"]Feliciano fails. Fails again. I've spent the rally adding up some figures. A fancy chart is coming but here is Feliciano vs. first batters this year: 15-38 (.395 batting average), .605 OBP (!!), 3 HR (!!) How his ERA is under 3 is a miracle well, when you give up homers to the first batter you face anyone on base doesnt hurt your ERA
  14. Church hit by a pitch, Moyer won't be allowed to face David Wright.
  15. i like the lineup, pitches to hit for church infront of wright
  16. who the heck is argenis reyes? is this another mike glavine nepotism player?
  17. the correct answer is likely "as few as possible", but with marlon under contract for next year i dont know if the wilpons would be willing to cut him loose and pay him. maybe they could ask him to meet with them in the manager's office, thus prompting him to assault omar minaya.
  18. Gwreck wrote: We already used Heilman. We already used Smith. We already used Feliciano. Sanchez unavailable. Would you have used Schoeneweis instead? thats what happens when the SP lasts only 5 innings, though with the rain delay that may have been for reasons other than effectiveness. and give pedro a little bit of credit for mostly settling down (a solo shot was the only run off him after the first)
  19. Lets see Martinez get the job done and not give any runs up now that his teammates have picked him up and tied this game at 4.
  20. Easley brings home 2 runs, and the Mets are within 1
  21. bad job by Church with 2nd and 3rd not at least getting the run on 3rd home. how far the mighty have fallen, delgado being pitched to by a righty with 2nd and 3rd 2 outs and a guy like Easley on deck.
