    According to Baseball Reference, Travis is under the Mets control through 2019. He could become a free agent after the 2019 season and sign for 2020.

    Mickey has said that Lagares will get all starts against lefty starters. That would mean that either Bruce or Conforto would sit. (Or Cespedes, I suppose, if he needs a rest.)

    My only real concern at this point is the number of bullpen innings. But that's part of the design for this season, so hopefully Mickey and Dave Eiland have a good plan for how to handle it.

    1971 was my first Mets yearbook. I was eight years old and I utterly destroyed my first copy with all of the attention I gave it. (Many years later I bought a replacement copy. I still have the original.) I have a feeling that 2009 is going to be the latest to succumb to a rout in this competition.
