=seawolf17 post_id=72104 time=1626832017 user_id=91] Those Primanti frenchfrywiches are REALLY good.

I wonder if it's more disgusting than the Primanti Brothers sandwiches (with soggy french fries) that is the signature dish at PNC Park.

Edgy MD wrote: It'd be fun if the team traveled from Pittsburgh to Cininnati by boat, but I'm guessing that would not be as quick a trip as all that. According to https://pubs.er.usgs.gov/publication/cir439this page, it would take between 7 and 28 days. I'm not clear on what it's saying, though. It may be saying that that's how long it would take if you were just drifting with the flow of the water. It may be quicker if the boat is being powered.

This certainly looks like a favorable matchup!

[bIGPURPLE]LAST CALL![/bIGPURPLE] Voting for all games played through July 11 will close tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Some of the later games have fewer votes than usual, so it appears that there are still votes to be cast. Nevertheless, voting will close as scheduled. http://potg.leaptoad.com/mets/images/warning.gif> http://potg.leaptoad.com/mets/Cast your votes now!

He also kept calling Nimmo "Nemo". Someone should have silently corrected him after the first time. And then Keith started to call him "Nemo" but quickly backed up and said "Nimmo".

Well, I guess that instead of reporting that a particular player has COVID, ESPN can report that The Daily Siftings Herald in Arkadelphia, Arkansas is reporting that the player has COVID.

Probably time to revive this thread, as there's been recent buzz, both inside and outside this forum. JD Davis is active again. Think the Cubs would bite?

A page titled New%20York%20Mets%20FontNew York Mets Font suggests that the nearest thing to a Mets insignia font is one called https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fontmesa/lynchburg/Lynchburg. (Coincidence? Maybe?) It also mentions a couple of potential fonts for the Mets script from the logo and the uniforms. There's https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/comicraft/spills/Spills Base and https://fontmeme.com/fonts/buffalo-nickel-font/#previewtoolBuffalo Nickel (Coincidence? Maybe?) None of these fonts are an exact match. Lynchburg would be better if the letters were of a uniform thickness, but I suppose it could be used as a starting point for a Mets insignia font. https://cdn.myfonts.net/cdn-cgi/image/width=720,height=360,fit=contain,format=auto/images/pim/10000/22581_555ad3db95064fe4e21bd14f06b0a097.png>

I don't have any jerseys, but I do have four caps. The traditional blue with orange insignia (although I don't currently know its whereabouts), the blue with the orange brim, the blue with the grey insignia, and black with a blue brim. When I go on vacation (which is something I used to do) I wear the cap with the grey NY because it's a "road cap".

If they move, I'm rooting for them to return to Philadelphia. Not "gonna" happen, of course, but I think it would be great.
  24. Benjamin Grimm
Because they play their home games in Buffalo?
  25. Benjamin Grimm
Nick Zwack paddywhack, give your dog a bone. This old man came rolling home. I thought the draft had been reduced to ten rounds? Or was that just a 2020 thing?
