Andre Ethier is still on the planet? And he's still a Dodger, you say?

Ethier's never been anything but a Dodger, is still a Dodger and, except for Kershaw and Adrian Gonzalez, is probably the highest paid Dodger even though injuries limited him to 16 games/26 PA in 2016
and 22/38 this year. But he was 2-for-9 with a Homer during the playoffs so far which is more than Grandy did.
The kicker is that he also has an option for next season although I doubt the vesting option kicked in considering his lack of playing time so I'm assuming they'll just buy him out and send him on his way.

But they can't buy Adrian Gonzalez out because he Does have a contract for 2018 and it's at $22.5 million. Not sure that his .287 OBA, 3 HRs, or 69 OPS+ in 250 PA quite justifies that.
Plus there's that Bellinger kid currently playing his position.

It's kind of like the Yanx where two of their bigger salaries this year were ARod and Ellsbury and ARod had almost as many playoff ABs

Even with Keuchel having trouble putting away the 6th inning, this game is still well under 2 hours to this point.
Not sure when the last sub-3:00 WS game was and I'm pretty sure there haven't been any in any of this year's playoffs up until now.

Nice version of "God Bless America." I like when they do that!

What delivery system gives you FOX Deportes but not FOX itself?

Playstation Vue. I get the major networks but in an "on demand" fashion, most shows are uploaded anytime from 2 days to 2 weeks after they air. No live broadcasts though for ABC, NBC, or Fox. And CBS isn't an option at all - my wife subscribed to "CBS All Access" to do her part, as she likes a number of the shows that air on that station.

I get the major networks live upstairs using my HD antenna, but I'm more comfortable in my basement.

2nd night in a row that Dodgers bust up a 1-1 tie with a 2-out walk followed by a HR in the bottom of the 6th.

Houston still looking for their first WS [u:14nvqjoj]Game[/u:14nvqjoj] win ever.
In 2005 they lost by 2 runs, by 1 run (walk-off bottom 9), by 2 in the 14th inning, and by 1 (1-0 by an 8th inning run), and then by 2 runs last night.

FREE TACOS!!!!!

Not that I've taken advantage of any of the other free tacos over the years (not sure I've ever even been to a Taco Bell) but I like that it didn't go unfulfilled.

Two out in the 11th, and just as I'm question carrying this character name Charlie Culberson and his .497 OPS over Granderson, the guy homers to left-center.

I just watched the condensed game (20 minutes)--what was Culbertson going nuts about in the 11th? His HR brought LA to within one which is great but he celebrated as if he tied or won the game.

And Culberson was the guy double-switched in for Bellinger!!!
I thought Roberts overdid it on a couple of occasions last night. Once he was overly quick pulling the starting pitcher [Hill = 1 run on 3 hits + 3 BBs, 7 Ks and just 60 pitches over 4 IP] it set off a chain
reaction down the road which not only left him in a position where he's double-switching his 40-HR rookie out of the game but also left him with no option but to try and finish the game with a starter
(McCarthy] who's thrown six innings total on just three appearances since mid-July, and none in the post-season to date.

Boom. Puig goes down hacking Houston takes it.

All they were saying, was give Puig a chance (but it didn't work)

A bit over the top, eh?

I went to bed and missed all the drama. I can't stay up so late as to catch the good part of the game any more, because I'm a tired old man.

me too.

I like free baseball in principle. Especially when I can actually watch it on my home TV. (We have Roku and an antenna.)

But I tend to awaken at 4, local....do the math.

Nine straight games watching this supposedly great Houston offense, I fall asleep at 3-3, and then they decide to start hitting.

Verlander has switched to the curve in an age of the fastball-slider pitcher. And it's absolutely fooling people out of their pants.
