It'll be hard to top this evening's game, but the Mets are contractually forced to try. Wins over the last three games have given us a peek at what the rotation can do for a team, and a foolish young reliever has seemingly awoken our team's bats.

Go get-em, boys!

That wasn't an all-negative outing. Just him coming back one rotation turn later is a positive, in my book.

First game in two years, I'm prepared to give him a bit of a mulligan anyway.

Now he's just a pitcher in the rotation. go pitch.

Never been high on Wheeler. Throws hard, but seems to have a straight, hittable fastball. Off-speed stuff is lackluster. Nothing is really swing and miss.

Nibbles a lot, I guess because he has a straight, hittable fastball, his off-speed stuff is lackluster, and doesn't have a swing and miss pitch.

Would you expand on this please? Apparently I missed something.

That guy who gave up the epic Cabrera walkoff last year threw behind him on Monday.

Mets haven't stopped scoring since.

I think his curve can be formidable. Not that it always is - but it can be his swing and miss pitch.

Conforto led off the game with a single and came around to score on a Yo double.
Ces then tried to steal third (with Bruce up...why?) and was rundown and tagged out.

1-0 Mets

How do you bench that, exactly?

Anybody know what the little circular patch on the Phillies right arms is? Blue circle with a Phillie 'P' inside what looks like a silver capital 'D'.
