To think the Nats re-jiggered their rotation to throw Scherzer at the Mets today, while the Mets are re-jiggering their rotation to throw Harvey on ice. What a swing in morale a victory dare I dream, a decisive victory could provoke. This is bugging me because of how right-on it is, and how much of a dick-punch it will feel like with a loss today.C'mon Mets.
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Niese is a middle finger blister away from a bullpen demotion or DFA. My opinion mind you
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Amazing how quickly he loses it.This game went from virtually nothing hard hit (including all their hits) prior to the GS and then everything hard hit right afterward. On the sour grapes side, we haven't gotten a borderline call at the plate yet.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 This may have come up before, but, do Jason and Greg get royalties for that Free T-Shirt SGA on Oct. 2nd? =
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Let's go get those runs back!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Vegas just got eliminated from playoffs. I say Gee gets Niese's next scheduled start. Give Jon some rest/time to think.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 The grand slam bothered me, but what bothered me more was that he couldn't suck it up, giving up an extra run.. That's inexcusable.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 That's our first non-HR RBI in like the last 10-15 runs scored. It's like we've been transformed into the Yanx or something lately.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) This team has bounce back capability! *grabs chest Edited September 7, 2015 by Guest

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 On their bullpen front, despite having a semi-walkover yesterday (won 8-4 but had a 8-1 lead early) they used five relievers including most of their big guys but not went all that long.Janssen: 2/3 inning but just 7 pitchesStoren: 1 IP, 17 pitchesPapelbon: 1 IP, but just 7 pitches
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I drink too much because the Mets.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I dislike the "Let's go, Nats!" chant.F for originality.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Gah shit! Torres comes up lame on the ground out. Awwwshit.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Oh boy, if he's out any longer than a game that's baaaad.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Lead off double for Cespedes in the Mets 6th.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Balk play HUGE. <3 <3 <3 Cespedes!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 It would be so sweet to steal this game. Their bullpen sucks as bad as ours.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I would have left Goeddel in to pitch to Harper. Need length from the bullpen.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Pitching change or not. As far as I'm concerned, Harper shouldn't see a strike this at bat. He would have to hit a chin high fastball, breaking ball in the dirt, or a fastball or slider 3-4 inches outside. If he isn't fishin, then he can have firstbase and you take your chances w/ Zimmerman. That philosophy is why I would have left the righty (Goeddel) in the game.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Wow. Dario does it! After the first 3 pitches I didn't think Dario could do it. Great job.
