Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Moves to third on a wild pitch!Grandy up, Cespedes on deck.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Cespedes in there as the potential tying run.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Is Duda available to hit for Uribe?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 3-1 on Grandy........gah, deep fly to right, ripped, but caught. Lags legs it home.3-2.Cespedes can't walk off so this game might go real late.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Why the fuck are you not running, Yoenis?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) ooo, that was one shitty swing Birdman.OE: Lack of running: he wasn't embarrassed enough by the swing I guess. Edited August 14, 2015 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Cervelli just Tony Pea'd it.Two out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Cespedes, you sit tomorry for not running that out.In my head, anyway. That Cervelli squat thing tips the curveball, guys.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Sucky ending. Oh, Bobby P, I am all done with ye.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Gary's right. This was a good game. I like these Pirates but not when they are up against us.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Well, it's good to get a preview of what kind of competition the Mets will be facing in the playoffs. In that spirit, go and get 'em next time. And don't pitch no Parnell in no game situation until you've gotten at least two innings out of Familia and Clippard. Stretch the good arms in a tie game.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Wow, I forgot what it was like to lose a game w/o immediate fear of dropping out of first place.Nats & Giants tied 1-1 in the first. I'll watch a little a that.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Cuddy has to be a fill-in, bench-type guy. He's buzz kill.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Completely winnable game. Paid for that fuckup in the third inning. I am irrationally infuriated over tonight's game. Irritated about Gary talking about Kang being the first hitter from the Korean leagues. Dae Sung Fucking Koo.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Get out the rotisserie spit for that "good luck" parakeet.Later
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Giants helping, 5-1 in the 2nd.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Disappointing night. Can't get one-runned by the likes of JA HappLagares not running immediately on Grandy's double may not have made a difference as he's probably not sent with no outs there, but it's still a minor brain fart.Cespedes has three hits including the only run we had in regulation but also had his worst ABs when the game was on the line, both early (2nd & 3rd none out) and then again late (K + not running). Not good nights for either Cuddyer & Uribe.Really hope we have a Duda sighting maana.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Fucking JA Happ, what did I tell you?Mets played listlessly enough at times to take a huge, pumped up and enthusiastic crowd right out of it, as they did while wasting 2nd and 3rd, 0 out and 3-4-5 up. Cudy and Uribe were real buzzkills tonight. Clippard works way too slowly. Parnell sucks. Colon was great. WE SHOULD HAVE WON. Taiwan Night at Big Shea.

Stretch the good arms in a tie game.Hell, you should pitch Torres and maybe Gilmartin first, at this point.
