I went to join instagram and they wanted me to d/l and install something. Basically I just wanted to view stuff, but I can't with d/l'ing this .exe.

I don't have anything that can be considered an app and I don't understand what I'm installing.
So instagram is not a web-site, but a program? Who knows what the deal is?

Its a social media platform meant for mobile devices as an application, not really meant as a website.

you shouldn't have to download an exe. in fact, don't.


it's an phone app invented because iPhones used to take really crappy photos, so this app touched them up by adding filters.

it's developed into kind of a picture-oriented social media site. You can download the apk to your phone (or you know, through your appropriate market) otherwise just sorta follow the link posted earlier to see Duda's. or like,

If you create an account and login via instagram.com you can 'follow' people and your main instgram.com page will be a timeline of those peoples recent posts. I don't think you can create an account online though, gotta be through the mobile app.

yeah, kinda like Tumblr I guess. With filters and stickers and what not, though people use those less (At least of those I follow) Can do short video too. And more direct comments maybe? Tumblr's a little weird like that, with the resharing and what not.
