Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 No other active guys behind him. Pedro Feliciano is a five years with a full workload away from appearing on that list. Tim Byrdak too.Top Ten Active Guys1. Mariano Rivera (43): 10722. LaTroy Hawkins (40): 8933. Kyle Farnsworth (37): 8274. Octavio Dotel (39): 7585. Darren Oliver (42): 7336. Francisco Rodriguez (31): 6887. Derek Lowe (40): 6818. J.C. Romero (37): 6809. Dennys Reyes (36): 67310. Joe Nathan (38): 669Unless Hawkins finds a magic pitch, I guess the only one on that list that could make a threat would be a rejuvenated Francisco Rodriguez.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Greg Maddux started more games than any other pitcher not in the Hall of Fame. Maddux, of course, is a no-brainer first ballot shoo-in, waiting to be eligible. Roger Clemens has the next most number of starts for a non HOF pitcher. He's a first-ballot shoo-in but for extracurricular circumstances. Which non HOF pitcher has the third most # of starts, after Maddux and Clemens?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Pettitte is 20th among non HoF-ers (46th overall). Wakefield is number 40 (73).
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I apologize to batmags for presuming to preside over these proceedings. I'm trying to be perfect here but may have made a mistake in the rankings.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Don Sutton?OE...non Hall of Famers. Non Hall of Famers (smacks self in head)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 There's no small amount of folks who forget Sutton is a HoFer and seek to expose him for the faker they seem to think he is.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Both are excellente guesses. Mussina, hero of Baltimore, is 11th among non-HoF-ers (and 33rd overall). Reuschel is 12th (and tied for 34th).
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 You've got to remember number 10. Both a lover of wine and a good little soldier.
