Murphy swung the bat well yesterday...I normally like a fast guy leadoff, but that is in short supply on this team anyhow...so I say:

Bat Murphy leadoff today...

On Murphy's career when "leading off an inning":
.297 average; .348 OBP; .511 slugging percentage; .859 OPS;
10 HRs; 4 triples; 31 doubles; 165 "Total bases" in 348 Plate Appearances;

This season when "leading off an inning":
.292 average; .393 OBP; .583 slugging percentage; .976 OPS;

plus, he's one of the few guys on the team that can hit both LHP and RHP almost equally well...

What they really need is Murphy leading off an inning with runners on base. Then they'd be all set.

what they really need is (since they have no speed merchants), 4 Daniel Murphy's and 4 David Wright's in the batting order...not a ton of power but good OPS throughout the order...

Harvey's good, but he's no Bugs Bunny.

The ac'chul lineup, which looks an awful lot like a 'K,' appropriately enough for a Harvey start:

Valdespin  RF
Murphy  2B
Wright  3B
Davis  1B
Duda  LF
Buck  C
Ankiel  CF
Tejada  SS
Harvey  RHP

I'm so glad we'll have this time together
Just to take a pitch that's called strike three...

I swear that last season, MLB Network would have a day game telecast virtually every week day (M-F)...this year, I haven't seen them doing that, other than during spring training...What is the point in them making this network, to have basically the same thing as "Baseball Tonight" retelecast 24 hours a day?

Is it just my perception or...is this the first time in a very long time that Terry has used the same lineup in the game that followed an actual win?

Great footage of Seavers almost perfecto in '69. Fun to see. Ive seen the hit itself many times but not the bunt and the last out. Toms reaction:bummed. I wonder what Grote said to him.

Matt Harvey is never 'at' anyone. The Cubs are at Matt Harvey.

Ive gone from not worried about Ike, to worried, and now pity. I feel sorry for him.

Just got the KABOOM on WFAN via XM. Quite the lag.

Will be avoiding the CPF, no offense, so as to not spoil any surprises.
