Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 One more for today. (IPP, for those who missed it, stands for "Individual Player Prediction")Gee will have a nice season... 30 starts, 12 wins, ERA a little over 4. No injuries that will demoralize the team.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 eh9-10, 4.50, 170 IP, 140-40

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Mediocre. 8-13, 4.75 180 IP, stays in the rotation as filler.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Goes to bullpen when Wheeler is ready...
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Trachsel in a good year, only slightly less excruciating to watch.180 IP, 8-9, 4.04 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 144 K, 7.2 K/9, 2.8 BB/9
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 He's filler.8-11, 4.8 era, goes back on the DL in August.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 There seems to be accord amongst all the scouts that Gee doesn't have great stuff, and that leads to tempered expectations, but I don't see it. To me, it seems like he's got nice secondary stuff, good control, and a fastball that touches the low 90's. That's plenty enough to win. He's a young pitcher with a 4.06 career ERA and (for whatever it's worth) a winning record on some bad teams.I'll echo BG's prediction. I think he takes that next step forward this year.******Readers should be aware that I have previously made predictions like "Jae Wong Seo will be a solid #2/3 starter in this league for many years." and "Some team is going to turn Heilman into a starter and make us feel stupid."
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Recent photos have shown he has trimmed the C. Everett Koop beard.I think he has the potential to be a contributor in a big way. His stuff does not melt the radar gun, but he did set a modern franchise record for strikeouts at Buffalo. He seems to know how to pitch and has good command of his pitches.I see a 13-8 3.96 year, in over 175 innings. (160K)Later
