Not sure what's next for him, but he may be looking at Buffalo for his next outing.

As per Rubin on Twitter, Backman said it was a paperwork issue (w/MLBPA), not an injury issue.

Klapisch: Young did well in three rehab outings at High-A Port St. Lucie but seems likely to be exposed now that he's moved on to Triple-A Buffalo. The 33-year-old right-hander seems doubtful to make any sort of impact in the major leagues this season.

Young today in his AAA start: 6 IP, 2 H (as Edgy said, none out of the infield), 0 R, 3 BB, 2 K, 87 pitches, 50 strikes.

Per Rubin's tweets, his velocity was still 82-84 this morning, but he also points out that his fastball wasn't much more than that in his 2011 starts with the Mets and in 2010 with the Padres. In any case, he has not yet been "exposed" by AAA hitters.
