Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Jason Bay said he believes the intense nausea was adverse reaction to antibiotic for sinus infection.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Ruben Tejada batting (and on-basing) .095 in his 21 (2-21, no walks) rehab plate appearances with St. Lucie and Buffalo. Both hits were doubles, of course, because he's Ruben Tejada.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Bay in the clubhouse and symptom free eight days after the collision. Said to feel much better than after last year's kapow.Hasn't gotten on a plane yet.Maybe just use him after the All Star break when the first 12 games are in the East. He can train up from Atlanta to DC to New York.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Nieuie expected to hit the DL with a non-contact hand injury. Valdy expected to be their replacement. Same hand he had operated on.Baxter heading to Florida to continue rehab, but is just hitting off a tee, hasn't run yet, and isn't expected to immediately face live pitching. No timetable. I'll guess a month. I dunno.Bay due back after the All-Star Break.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Hampson down, Valdespin up, per Rubin. Mets will go with a short bullpen for the time being. Nooey's injury must not be DL-worthy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 I'm going to guess it's disabling, but they probably hope they can ride it out a few days by shortening the pen and therefore get through the ASB. For now, Valdespin gets Nieuenhuis at-bats.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 Zach Lutz activated and rehabbing with St. Loo before re-joining the Bisons. Played third in his first start and went 0-1 with two walks.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Nieuwhehuis has hit the wall anyway.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 FrankFrank will be taking the next few days off. His oblique flared up, say the twits.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Ted Baxter starts his rehab going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as DH for St. Lucie.

Ted Baxter? This is a man who should be revered and who should never have to buy his own beer again in New York EVER AGAIN.Mike Baxter shall not be mocked!
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 We're now using starters 6,7,8 and that's rough. Turns out Reed Johnson DID hurt Santana when he jumped on his ankle. bleh!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Looks like Johan to the DL.Looks like Harvey is inevitable.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Terry and Sandy say Johan will not be back until after the 11 game road trip starting 8/5..So about one month...They have a general concern that he has been hard used this season and are deferring to a rehab program. This is all per ESPN, too lazy to link it.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Baxter to Buffalo. Francisco to Brooklyn.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Frank Francisco, who was due to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with the Brooklyn Cyclones, will wait a little longer before working back from a strained left oblique in the minors. Francisco experienced right-knee discomfort Monday, a day after throwing a 40-pitch bullpen session at Citi Field. The team announced he received an anti-inflammatory injection.I think everybody left CitiField with a little knee pain.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 just sloppiness that let this thread lapse to page 5, or have we been healthy lately?Byrdak, anterior capsule tear. Haven't decided on surgery or not yet, but I mean, he tore the capsule, so it's probably inevitable. Don't know what the time line is for this for a reliever. Can be help at the trade deadline next year maybe?Johnson hurt his hand. day to day. I'm not sure why we're playing short with a third string catcher. get Nickeas back or add May to the roster or something. they all suck.Nieuwenhuis has partial tear of the plantar facia. No surgery. sounds like rehabedness. what's the options rules on this? You have to have 20 days in the minors to burn an option, but he's not there yet. If he doesn't play..?
