Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Delmon Young with a cheap MFY-Stadium homer to right gives the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the first.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 MFYs already getting lucky to tie it as Rogers reaches on a WP strike 3 and scores after the the Tigers screw up a force play and elect not to throw him out at home. 1-1
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Yo Tigers, could you at least make them get the ball out of the fucking infield in order to score their runs?

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Christ, even driving rain can't move Sabathia to jog to the dugout at inning's end.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 And here come da rains.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 $45 for parking outside YSIII, sez my friend on FB.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 OMFG, the TBS studio crew are awful, right now they are fellating Jeter, running down all his "great" plays down the years...ugh...David Wells is terrible...."I mean, I mean , I mean"...STFU fat bastard....Eckersley?....a clown ....hey they stopped talking about Jeter.....only because they went to ad breaks.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 You thought you were getting Verlander - Sabathia...but if this rain keeps up, you're gonna get Brad Penny - AJ Burnett.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Where's there MFYs, there's unnecessary melodrama.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 A normal MFY game seems endless without a rain delay.Get yourselves ready for Breakfast with Suzyn.Later
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Suspended. They'll pick it up Saturday night. And in some way, it will suck.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 2nd and 3rd, nobody out for the MFYs to start. Not a problem for Amigos de los Tigres, when those two are catchers who run like it. No runs across. (Fisted!)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 This Fister guy looked good for a while (Fister? I hardly even know her!) but as soon as Russell Martin hit the typical one-out/two-on Yanqui dribbler that's too slow & shitty to be turned into a DP (so now it's 2nd & 3rd instead of out of the inning) I got a bad feeling. Fister then had the next three hitters 0-2 but failed to get any of them out even though none hit the ball particularly well (2RBI single, single, walk). Then came the almost predictable Grand Slam.Could have been no runs that inning, instead it was six.So now not only are the Yanx up 1 game to none but they did so by winning the game which Verlander started without having to actually face Verlander.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 You'd think Fister would have changed his name at some point.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 He didchange his name. Tha'ts what he changed it to.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 5 hitless innings from Max Scherzer to start the game for the Tigers.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 4-0 bottom 7 although the no-hitter is gone on a Cano broken bat bloop (there may be left-fielders slower than Delmon Young but you'd have to do a pretty thorough search before you found one).Perhaps the best part was - right after the usual booth talk about Jeter being clutch and all in October - he grounds out with two-on to end the inning then starts the next one with a throwing error which led to the 3rd & 4th run.Scherzer still throwing.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Scherzer put two men on in the bottom of the 7th and now we're into the Tiger 'pen.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Valverde motion is so like Benitez eh?.....and he's in the process of fucking up the game, non save situation but now it's 5-3 with two out and two on.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Mr. Clutch strikes out in the ninth inning with ducks on the pond.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 There is nothing worse than Derek Jeter scoring a run.
