The only trade of the 00s that compared was the Rangers trading Chris Young and Adrian Gonzalez to San Diego for Adam Eaton and Akinori Otsuka. And the Rangers also made the WS this year. Go figure.

Bonser showed some promise at one point, so I see no harm here.

We traded away some guy named Kazmir for stud Victor Zambrano, but all we got was game 7 of the nlcs... i think we kinda got jipped.

Not that I ever even slightly agreed with that deal, but for what it's worth, we gave up less and got more than the Giants and Rangers did in those other two trades.
