Jon Niese has one career start against the Phils and they barely touched him.

That was back in the Days of Throb.

Theoretically, then, he should be able to kick the living shit out of them, do parking-lot donuts with their fancy cars, and make love to their WAGs before they make it out of the postgame clubhouse.

Of course, that's why they play the stupid games.

Lineup looks familiar. I barely even notice Bay missing.[/quote:17df992p]

That whole Bay thing still has me shaking my head.
Not violently tho.

I mean, we all saw the snap back he suffered with our own eyes when it happened.
It was violent and everything in his head had to be somewhat rattled as a result.
I'm no doctor but I would have proceeded, after seeing the footage, as if something should be wrong there.
As far as letting him play, sure, he showed no symptoms. But there was an off day there for the flight back,
and why, esp with our experiences with this kind of thing, didn't they have him travel by ground as a simple precaution?

Gah.

Not only do I get blacked out from seeing this game on MLB.TV (first time this year, shouldn't this be a consistent thing? I have been blocked from the Comcast feed all other games but not SNY. Tonight, both), I have to sit through this Philly Wall Of Fame pukeworthy bullshit (I can view this on reg ol fashioned TV).

Niese's control is eluding him in the first. We need some f&@# you attitude.

Strikes out Ruiz. Nice. I'll take it.

Rollins on base against Niese is sort of an irresistable force/immoveable object sort of thing.

Nope. Big catch by Pagan.

Yes, we just bunted Francoeur into scoring position for Niese.

And Jerry, touched by the hand of God, gets the run.

Isn't this like proof of retardation?
I understand how Jerry wants to make this team into small ball gangsta beeatches, but isn't this a bit much?
It worked out for one run, sure, but Castillo has been making solid contact lately and there were no out.
Are there not more preferable options there?

Philheads said Castillo was bunting for a hit when he moved up Frency.
It sure didn't look like it to me.
Someone should tap Louie on the shoulder and remind him that he's hitting 8th tonight.

K, I don't know why I'm venting like this when we are playin a good game here.
6 hits for 2 runs.
Hawkman, the human deflector, settle'n in.

Again, Howie and Wayne are saying it's about un-reliable eighth-inning guys. It's not.

This one's on Jerry. Jon was over 100 pitches, but not THAT far over 100 pitches. To hell with the "designated eighth inning guy."

Everything inside, anywhere inside, has been a strike all fuckin night.
But not this time.
Pedro walks in a run.
