Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 2nd Best Team in Baseball, as per some dude who makes lists for 'em.(They also name the worst teams-- Dibble and Carpenter do figure somewhat prominently.)

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 When Vin Scully dies I want them to just play his recorded voice over games. It'll be challenging but I'm sure they can program a computer that can find Scully moments that fit the action on the field at the time.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Agreed on the Giants team. If you ever get the chance, listen to their broadcast. Kuiper has the most impressive voice this side of Bob Murphy.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 More importantly, Keith has been lately guesting in Mark Trail and is about to get his face punched in.

I would actually disagree if they slotted them in before him. I mean, it's Scully. Hearing his voice makes me feel ten years old.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 TOP 5:5) Rojas/Gubicza, LAA4) Orsillo/Remy, BOS (Can't take Remy. I'd imagine that quite a few outsiders feel the same way about Keith. But they're wrong.)3) Kuiper/Krukow, SF (I kinda like these guys, too.)2) GKR1) Scully, LAD (Well, yeah... but no mention of his reliever?)BOTTOM 5:5) Carpenter/Dibble, WAS (Well, yeah.)4) Underwood/Manning, CLE3) Staats/Kennedy, TB (Kennedy is terrible on Fox... I can only imagine how he is when he's allowed to graze.)2) Brenneman/Brantley, CIN (Caught 'em a couple of times on EI; they are all over the f*cking place-- like a drunk, dumb GKR during a rout... but every game)1) Harrelson/Stone, CWS (Braying homerism at its apotheosis)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Maybe they've upped their act, but in recent years listening to Arizona's crew was exactly like hanging out with drunken bully-boy unfunny-cutup jocks.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 A couple of years ago I noticed the San Diego crew as being especially bad. Don't remember who they were, and I don't know if they still have the same team, but they were awful.I'm also thumbs-down on the Florida and Washington guys.I seem to recall the Cincinnati guys not being too bad.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 San Diego, Florida, Washington. Yup, yup, yop.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 The Mariners' crew are homer heavy.I like the Athletics' team. Plus it's always nice seeing that Ray Fosse is enjoying a post-playing days career.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Fosse's great. When the A's had Greg Papa working alongside him (not to mention Bill King on radio, RIP) they were even better.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 You know, the fans should vote for the All-Star Game announcers too.
