seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Can we politely ask the Padres to trade Mujica to the Phillies?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 Beautiful. Ike credits the Mets fans for the great home record. Classy act.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Loved the low-keyed jump; loved the record setting helmet toss; loved Francoeur racing Cora out to home; loved Reyes establishing his place at home no matter who got there first; loved the beautiful camera work by SNY. And loved the walk-off game winner!!!

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 just got home from the game, nice way to win it.why did jerry pull Pelfrey after 9? he should have kept going!also, why was Gonzalez not intentionally walked after that dumb bunt?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Best game of the year? I say yes.I *love* the on-field hero interview with the walk-off producer with Kevin after the game. Nice to get to see the pie to the face (Pagan, with an assist from Niese).I was watching the ball more than the runner but my impression on Jose's homer that he wasn't busting it out of the box and should've been on third when the umps were checking the replay. I just checked when I got home and curiously SNY didn't show a replay of this.I would've been fine with putting Pelfrey out for the 10th but that's not a huge problem. What I couldn't understand was why -- after using Cora/Carter to move the pitcher to the 8 slot -- he wouldn't put Rodriguez back out for a second inning.Last time a Mets pitcher went a full 9 - was it Johan's shutout at the end of the '08 season?

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I've tried to suppress any memories of that September/early October (baseball-wise).
