bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 We might have 3 new, or newish, Mets by 7:10 on Friday:Ruben Tejada or Justin Turner for Castillo (DL)Jesus Feliciano up with GMJ (hopefully) or Carter (getting stale on the bench) goneNiese (for Saturday) activated and Perez (hopefully) or Valdes gone.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Can somebody give me a Justin Turrner tutorial? All I know about him is, well, that terrible movie he did with Hooch.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 What, no state facts?Let's go Mets!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 NY State Fact:There's New York. And there's everywhere else.That's a fact!(Written by someone currently in DC.)

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Here are the combined 2009 and 2010 totals and rates for HR's hit at Citi Field by the Mets and their opponents v. HR's hit on the road by Mets and their opponents:Citi Field --- 163 HR/109 games = 1.50 HR/gameRoad --- 182 HR/107 games = 1.70/HR/gameSo far, Citi Field suppresses HR's overall, despite last season's splits to the contrary -- even though the team's decision to lower the height of the CF wall should logically increase the Citi Field HR rate.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 its also not the same team, not the same opponents, and a small sample size, especially when you are talking about comparing one year to 2 months instead of looking at everything together.oh, and if it does kill homers? i'm ok with that.

That was meant to be a PM.The comedic effect would be lost because as we all know, its timing. Timing baby. And the site makes you watch a commercial and stuff.F them. I'm not gonna feed their monster.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Omir is back. GMJ DFA'd.Why Omir? Since they didn't want Feliciano, then why not Hessman?Of course, GMJ is gone!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Is nobody following this sucka? I just came home to see Jason Bay double home a run to make it 3-2, Marlins.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Just got back from another goodbye party for a colleague*. But was following along with Howie and Wayne.*Oh, this economy.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 4 straight knucklers to Maybin notch the fourth Dickey-K of the night. Over the last three, he's been about as cruise-control as a knuckler can rightfully expect to be.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Two more walks to Wright. Maybe June is his month. Can Barajas capitalize?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 He can! Second and third and one out for Frenchbread. Do they go for him or Tejada?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) THROB'D AND FRENCH'D.Why pitch to Francoeur instead of loading 'em for lil' Ruben? Dunno. Don'care. Edited June 4, 2010 by Guest
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 BAM! First pitch single for Frenchfries!Tie game. Barajas naturally stops as third. Tejada at the plate and MeJEEa warming in the pen.
