I've liked Hairston ever since his/my Rochester days. He was a favorite of ours, and I'm kinda glad he's built himself a nice major league career.

Eckstein comes close to scoring the winning run, but is caught at the plate.

I'm so glad that Warthan went out to talk to Rodriguez after he struck out two batters in a row.

That's two nights in a row that Fankie's let in a run.

Yay, extra baseball!

Tough to fault K-Rod on that last pitch to Eckstein, he really hit it off the end of the bat cue shot style. Glad to see that Razor Shines is coaching third for San Diego this year so we at least get to keep playing.

Why does Wright do the relay there? Isn't the shortstop supposed to get the outfield cutoff and the firstbaseman the infield one while Wright stays anchored on third?

The Mets seem to have re-written these plays in recent years to get the thirdbaseman involved.

Benitez is still the worst clutch performer I've ever seen pitch for the Mets, but damn if Rodriguez keeps climbing that ladder closer towards him.

Good thing GMJ is in the lineup now instead of Francoeur. Geez, Jerry is an idiot.

PERFECT throw from Dabbid there.
