batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Once the decision was made to bring in Pedro, I don't necessarily mind that he was limited to pitching to Fielder. But then why wasn't he allowed to pitch to Howard and Utley last night?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 game over. thanks for not letting Santana finish it, jerry,
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Not cool. The Mets still have no idea how to win on the road, will be the death os us.[/quote:1nfyrc90]All the home cooking in the world won't overcome winning 1 of every 4 on the road.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 And another close, well-pitched road game goes down the drain.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 I wished that Gary didn't update the Mets consecutive scoreless inning streak every two pitches.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Santana had thrown 105 pitches but he mowed them down the last several innings. There was no frigging reason to take him out other than a) pitch count or he said he was tired (which he wouldn't). Of course, don't forget bases loaded, nobody out, and no runs.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 That was still pretty amazing, this lil scoreless streak.I'll also question the wisdom of pulling Santana but that's easy in retrospect.I wanna know what Santana has to say in post (if anyone can pass that on)Jerry too, I guess.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Would have been nice to get that call at 1st on Braun. We didn't get any of the 'coulda gone either way' calls tonight.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I have to give Gallardo his props. He was the best player on the fieldWe'll gettem tomorrow

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I wish someone would take the book Jerry manages from and wack him up side the head one time, then burn the damn thing.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 A pitching performance like this, on the road, vs a team like the Brewers that suck at home...*Warren lowers and shakes his head, closes the browser
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 What a waste, we should have had that game.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I don't like Santana not getting the 9th, but the MUCH bigger reason this game was lost was not scoring with bases loaded nobody out.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Tomorrow is another for David Wright to wake the fuck up
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 Who can Top this Act? Johan Can!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I had posted before that Santana hadn't been bested by another team's ace yet this year. I guess you could say he was here, although I don't know if that's fair, given how he was lifted prematurely by his manager.
