Joe Morgan, designated apologist for all things Yankee tonight.[/quote:2cwe9nbg]
I'd like to figure out why this is. It's like somehow some of these guys --- guys who should know better and indeed have shown better in the past --- have come to link their self-images to Yankee success.[/quote:2cwe9nbg]

The thing is that I've yet to meet a Yanqui fan who doesn't think Morgan is anti-NYY

Zvon! I've still got that game! We used to make our own discs -- and Seaver had a pretty big strike zone! (At least on the one I made.)[/quote:17qkg4po]

My team was called the American Crusaders (I remember one bro's team name, National Champions).
We had a draft and everything.
Rod Carew was my favorite.
He hit .400 plus one season.

I think we did that for around 4 years running.[/quote:17qkg4po]

We used to make discs for the Mets that weren't in the set. I found the game again about decade ago and played again. It's a fun game, with that Wrigley scoreboard that you stick into the box bottom.

Those wankers are so paranoid they think Suzyn Waldman is anti-NYY.

Rose is talking about Bill Madden --- implying he's somehow earned that Spink Award.

Ugh.

AmazinAvenue

Since 4/17, Jeff Francoeur is hitting .140/.184/.219. Not a misprint.

Really, the fair-- and by "fair," I mean "fun, turnabout-y"-- thing to do would be to let players decide on these.

Wouldn't that give the jock-sniffers like Madden the inside track on it?

Santana is cruising, and how lovely of Dabidrye to rob Douchebag Cop. Hey, is he on the interstate now? That would be pretty cool.

Johan, 63 pitches through 6. MFYs dipping into the second best bullpen in New York.[/quote:2wuyy6m3]

IT IS COMPLETE GAME TIME

Yes, but the satirical value would almost be worth that... and point up some of the weirdness in the BBWAA voting body.

Howie makes the point, however, that if he wanted to drill him, why do it with a curveball?

Who does Mitre think he is, Roger Clemens?

Shawn Estes might nearly almost hit him in the butt if he keeps that up.

Are they sayin just cause it was a curve ball that means with 100% certainty that was unintentional?

Thats bullshit.
They might not have wanted to hurt him, but they wanted to hit him.

What are the odds that Joe comes back next inning and says "Derek Jeter would have hit that pitch."

When I was playing, if you wanted to hit me with a curveball o change up, I'd let you nd gladly take my base. If you want to send a message, you do it with fastball. That was just very poor pitch. No intent there in my mind.

Now that I have defended a Yankee, I feel dirty and need to go take a shower.

So why isn't this little shit on second base? Went into his trot a bit too early?
