Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Hey Joe, the Yankees have their third baseman playing off the line because their shortstop has the range of a garden slug.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 WOW!I just noticed that its Joe Morgans card-disc-thing on the box cover.Thats wacky stuff.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 It may be the bottom of the order, but that was a man against boys right there.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I AM AMAZING AT GOING DOWN LISTLESSLY!0-2 for Captain FistPump. Santana through 5, having retired 8 straight.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Zvon! I've still got that game! We used to make our own discs -- and Seaver had a pretty big strike zone! (At least on the one I made.)[/quote:t2rf5zk8]My team was called the American Crusaders (I remember one bro's team name, National Champions). We had a draft and everything.Rod Carew was my favorite. He hit .400 plus one season.I think we did that for around 4 years running.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Hot damn, Orel's right. He came in to start the seventh inning, and his first major league hitter was Gary Carter, who grounded out to short; he then got Al Oliver and Tim Wallach. Not a bad trio for his first MLB appearance.(Sadly, he let the first three runners on in the eighth and got pulled. All three eventually scored.)
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 again with the "slight uppercut!"
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 That's a real nice swing by Bay.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 That's two.I think Bay's heating up a bit.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 What's that for Bay, like nine ABs in a row where he's gotten on via hit or walk?Even in a sport where hitting is streaky, he's a streaky batter.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I like Ike but his swing on breaking balls from lefties looks like me in HS.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Cirvelli missed that because he was getting ready to pump his fist.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Cervelli, like G Money in "New Jack City," sucks the glass dick. PB moves Ike into scoring position for the chosen one.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 What a circular route by Cano. Joe Morgan, designated apologist for all things Yankee tonight.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Nice double by D-Wright, another run for the good guys!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 NEW YORK RUN PRODUCTION DOT-COM! (DOT-COM!)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Joe Morgan, designated apologist for all things Yankee tonight.[/quote:3i9c88uw]I'd like to figure out why this is. It's like somehow some of these guys --- guys who should know better and indeed have shown better in the past --- have come to link their self-images to Yankee success.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I do wish this game was on the Yes Network, so I could flip over to hear Kay choking on his own vomit.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I want to see the Throbster hit this thing to Staten Fuckin Island.
