Have you ever heard any announcers talk about ballpark fare as much as these three since CitiField opened?

We all know (do we ever) that Keith's wife is trying to cut him back, but Ronnie has been packing it on in recent years.

Part of the appeal of these guys is that they seem to live the fan fantasy that making a living at the ballpark is living life at it's best, but I think the reality in that fantasy may be creeping up on RJ.

And I'm certain the person in the straw hat agrees.

Ronnie was talking out in the stands with Kevin Burkhardt yesterday during the first game. He's not a small man. Actually, I don't remember where they were, but the guy standing behind them had one of these "I wish these meatheads would either move or shut the hell up."

Most certainly.

Hopefully, Ron's fingers haven't gotten too big for him to wear his.

There was a conversation last night about cold weather during the WS. Ron asked Keith "do you remember how cold it was?" and Keith said yes and started talking about Game 2... of the '82 Series.

"Hey Ronnie, those fingers sure are looking like sausages these days."

"Yes, Keith, but they're not nearly as delectable as a Shack-ago Dog from out in centerfield. Even if you slathered them in sport peppers and celery salt."

Well, that's what I fear.

Not for nothing, but men of polynesian ancestry have to watch out. Huge diabetes rates among Pacific Islaners.

From Wikipedia:

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Hawaiian-Chinese mother and French-Canadian father, Darling is a fluent speaker of both Chinese and French. After growing up in Millbury, Massachusetts, he attended St John's High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and later Yale University, managing a dual major in French and Southeast Asian history.

Yeah, I think he's a quarter Hawai'ian. Not much for me to get animated about and probably stupid to introduce. He should stop eating so much because... he should stop eating so much.

I guess that's what you get for the weekday games in the upper deck.

Fair point. They kind of look like the daytime-matinee-of-"The Blind Side" crowd, only with God's flashlight on 'em.

No - that's what you get at every Mets game in every seat. Look around you. See?

Cool - I wonder whether he's still following the plan.

To be fair, that big photo I found has to be two years old or more, because it's the upper deck at Shea.

I'm surprised Keith was anywhere near fans, considering his reaction to being in an elevator with me and a bunch of other fans at Citi Field - cowering on a stool in the corner, desperately hoping nobody notices him.

Ron looked much better a year ago -

And a couple of weeks ago -

I'd expect that of Seaver
