I've only been once this year so far-- Saturday gaydame-- and it appeared as if the gluten-free stand was shuttered. Has it regularly been open this year?

Also: Weather-allowing, am taking my Maw to tomorrow's game.

It has been open when I've been there.

May 19th and 20th, the Mets come to Washington for a two-game series. I will definitely make it to Nationals Park for one of those games, if not both.

Just found out I'll be spending America's birthday in DC for a Mets/Nats tilt. Fwife and I will be attending with my cousin and her husband whilst the children are with my aunt & uncle.

Still an outside chance Fboy and I make another trip to Citi Field before then. Pondering a night game, he's only attended matinees thus far.

Fman99: I will be at the games on July 1, 2, and 3 (I don't want to go into DC on the 4th). If you're at one of those, we can meet.

The LWFamilia is hitting the old ballgame tomorrow (Monday, 5/10) night, left-field field level some'eres (for ease of possible early departure).

I can understand that... the Sunday game is the only one we're attending. My cousin and her husband have season tickets, along with 7-8 other couples, so they split all the games up. That's the only weekend Mets/Nats tilt that they have seats for this year. I think we'll be doing driving Friday and doing non-baseball stuff that Saturday.

Have tix for Wed, but took today off instead since Wed looks
like a washout. Hope that move don't bite me in the boo boo.

Was going to go Wednesday, as I said, but since (a) it's going to rain, and (B) the d-bags in Albany just cut my salary by 20%, so I think I'm going to have to pass.

Sorry to hear of the state salary cuts, 20% is a lot.

20%!

Holy shit. How many furlough days?

In Cali, it was two a month for a 10% reduction. Nobody wins with furloughs...I hear this year, they'll just propose a straight 5% slash.

On the plus side, graduation was May 1 and my next teaching day is September 7, so I'm not complaining. (too much)

A day a week, until they get the budget passed. The legislature, however, continues to work at full pay, which sounds fair to me. I'm secretly hoping there's a Eliot Loudermilk working somewhere in the state.

Very sorry to hear this Wolf.

Question , aren't a lot of kids now taking exams, how will this effect them?

SCREW THE KIDS! THE STATE NEEDS THE SOULS OF ITS EMPLOYEES!

Services (i.e. classes) will not be impacted, except for the fact that we all won't be here one day each next week.

I'm going to the game tonight, weather permitting. I'm going to be in New Jersey anyway this weekend to see my brother, who's in from California.

I'll be there tonight. KC's seats, as won with my lucky Mookie ticket at the last CPF get-together. Section 430.

Thanks again, KC.

My pleasure, Chad ... enjoy, and bring us a blow out!

If anyone wants to meet up for the Tue 5/25 game against the Sillies,
I have a ticket with your name on it. It's a $50 ticket, but I heavily dis-
count for two pre-game Guinness at McFadden's. PM me.

(I'm not even going to try and pluralize Guinness)

Damn, if it weren't nearly 500 miles each way I'd take you up on the offer.

Unfortunately, it's doubtful that I will make it to Citi Field this season. Taking in a Mets interleague game in Baltimore in June. May try to sneak up for the Labor Day game in Washington if all goes well. Plan to make a NY pilgrimmage sometime next season.

My wife had bought me tickets for my birthday, but forgot that we had a wedding to go to that day, so we need to get rid of the tickets.

Would you settle for eight innings of blowout and a nail-biting ninth?

Great seats. The only place you can't see is the LF corner, so I had absolutely no idea what was going on with the Cervelli play until I got home and read the IGT.

Wow 10 days and on page 5 ...

I'll be in McF's around six tomorrow night if anyone is going early.
It's loud, some of the patrons are rather obnoxious, but it's a dang
convenient meeting place.

So, Mets are in Baltimore on June 12th and I've never been. (That's 6 consecutive against NY. Think they'll be sick of it?) But it's far. Fiance has confessed interest in seeing the Bisons. Also far (I went to school in Buffalo, have friends there, which changes things). Majors over minors? Minors probably being a lot cheaper and also probably factors in awesome wings. Actually, definitely factors them in, that's pretty much a given. Baltimore also offers the opportunity to maybe go to the Smithsonian or something on the way home, which is something we were thinking of doing earlier in the season and seeing the Nats, but didn't.

I'm torn. It's probably 50/50 we wimp out and do nothing but stay home. Or drive to Port Jeff and taste cake, but that's a pain of a drive too.
