Sunglasses? They should be giving away blinders.

I got a message on phone yesterday from the Mets that
they want to give me some box seats for free for a game
for being a loyal (paying) fan.

Anyone know if these are like really cool seats I might never
get to sit in or just some schlub seats I can sneak into with
a twenty to the usher after the third inning?

Yeah, it said to call them and pick a game.

The less-desirable the game (Wednesday against the Pirates, for example), the better your tickets but no matter what game you choose they'll be very good. Apparently they are doing this for every (?) partial-plan holder.

They're good. Metropolitan or Field Box. Did they give you a choice of game?

I'd recommend, just because it's not something many regularly get the opportunity to do, to check out the Caesar's Club. (second level, behind home plate). Also, peak into the Acela Club. why not right?

Caesar's Club is like a slightly Met-friendly airport lounge/casino lobby. (Nice if you've got a YoungerPooper to calm down midgame, or have a hankering for a carved sandwich in a windless environment.)

true. but pretty for a go-around. The bathrooms have dividers. they have those island-bars on either side. oh, and you can check out the scoreboard control room, which is pretty cool.

Fair enough. We happened to pass by the control room just as the stretch started, and ended up stopping and staring for something like 5 minutes.

Maybe if i do play hooky for Thursday's game I'll stare it for a couple of minutes instead of watching the Pirates. tempting.

So, I'm heading to the Bridgeport Bluefish game tomorrow afternoon with the wife and kid. The little guy is almost two years old, and it will be his first baseball game, so I'm pretty excited.

Their opponent will be the Somerset Patriots, so I was checking their roster to see who might be coming through town.

Bill freakin' Pulsipher is on the team.

The Bluefish have Esteban Yan, Antonio Alfonseca, Jorge Julio, and Bartolome Fortunado on the pitching staff. It's gonna be like old-timer's day tomorrow.

Most notable position player with the Fish is former Toronto C/1B prospect Josh Phelps. I wondered what happened to him.

Poor Pulse - what a craptacular fall from grace.

The Bluefish where once great relievers go to die.

I'll have to hear the story behind the request first ... but I have

Is this a set plan, or a maybe plan?

Careful. Rusty had a different number for each of his two Met tenures.

Just grabbed tickets to the closer. Who else-- besides G-Fafif, no doubt-- is going?

The Diamond Knights are attending the closer :)
