More than one source has Joe Pignatano "related to" his tomato successor John Franco, but I can't find the specifics of the relationship

I think this guy is a member of the Alfonzo clan, Edgar and Edgardo's brother, and a current scout for the team.

George Stone, cousin of Cecil Upshaw.

Darren Oliver, son of Bob Oliver, who played three National League games in his life, one an old fashioned beatdown of the Mets, where he came in as a late-game sub for Roberto Clemente.

Also playing for the Bucs that day was a pitcher named Tommie Wayne Sisk, who doesn't appear to be related to Doug.

I was poking around Baseball Reference and noticed that former Mets announcing bore Fran Healy had an uncle who was also a mediocre MLB catcher. Named Francis X. Healy, played for the NY Giants and the Cardinals in the early 1930's.

Len Dykstra's uncle, NHL star Tony Leswick.

Len Dystra's great-uncle, Jack "Newsy" Leswick, who drowned in Winnipeg "on or about" August 7, 1934. He got his nickname because "he always had news to tell."

Still looking for a picture of Lenny's grandfather, "Pistol" Pete Leswick.

Matt Lawton, brother of Marcus Lawton.

Also, I notice you don't have the Leiters linked, or Mel Rojas linked to the Alou clan.

Me neither until I did some digging today. The nerve of them saying I'm not a productive employee.

Larry Bowa is the uncle of Nick Johnson[/quote:2x9m9bh0]

I just read this again today and had forgotten that this was the case.

Mel Rojas was the spawn of the Devil.
I would hate to guilt-by-associate the Alous by bringing that up, Edgy.

If the UMDB were to limit itself to factory-approved True and Beloved Mets, it would become rather pointless.

There I go getting obscure again. (Slapping my own wrist)
This thread was about relatives of Mets players, and I was trying to make a joke about Mel Rojas being the offspring of Satan.
Missed big time, I guess.
Memo to self : more obvious humor.
Memo to JohnCougar: This one deserves one (you know what I mean)

Yeah, God help those guys that wait until their late thirties to have kids. Must be exhausting.

Hank Webb is one of those names that go back for me. Him and Chuck Taylor were like the first Mets I feel like I discovered on my own.
