Guest AG/DC Guests Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 An intrasquad scrimmage went down between the Manuel Laborers and the Alomar Cookies. Six innings of fun. Duaner felt good, used all of his pitches, and fanned Fernando Martinez on a change, Joe Smith was hit hard, incuding a Jose Reyes tripleTM. Angel Pagan hit the ball hard to the tune of two hits.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Barring injuries, I don't think Smith has much of a chance to make the team out of ST -- having nothing to do with this particular outing.
Guest attgig Guests Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 reports also say padilla got through an inning in 8 pitches... 7 of them for strikes.

Guest sharpie Guests Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Tiggers pulling one punch with Timo being in there for Gary Sheffield.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 I know it's only the first spring training game, but Marlon Anderson and Timo Perez are exhibits 1a and 1b against the DH.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Ouch, Ryan Church is hitting clean up. The Mets are definitely throwing the bench at the Tigers in this one.
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 There has to be a rule on the number of Andersons used by one team in one game. Plus a Granderson on the other side of the field.
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Alas, the undefeated streak of the 2008 Mets ends.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Getting asses kicked again today by the Cardinals.Hey, we tied Michigan.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Yeah well Santana Banana takes the mound tomorrow at 1:00 (so SNY keeps telling me) so that losing streak is ovah!
Guest vtmet Guests Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Funny thing is...the Mets showed more offense with the "All Andersons on deck" scrub road lineup than they showed with the mid-season lineup that they used against the Cards today...
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 From YahooNot the blue cap, but not a bad one for Yancy to use for Johan's mug shot.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 You needn't spend so much time worrying about mug shots, Steve.Besides, I already have one for Johan which will serve until I get a game-action blue cap photo.
