Of the two issues Seo raised this is by far the easier to deal with. It doesn't have an effect (that I can see) on anyone's draft strategy nor does the number of people who join matter for this poll, thats why I put it up now before we have everyone signed up.

The issue is how long do we want a player to be on waivers?
The current rule is 72 hours. The proposal is to shorten it.

The issue, in my mind, is that we don't want a reasonably diligent owner to "miss out" on a player on waivers.
The question is how often must one check the site to be considered diligent? I don't expect the site to be checked every day, and I don't think anyone else here does either.
I'd like to keep it at 72 hours but I'm perfectly happy with 48 hours.
I'd think its a bit unfair to set it to 24, though as someone who checks his fantasy baseball religiously it wouldn't hurt me.

discuss.

edit- I intentionally did not set this up as a poll because it is likely, in my mind, that with at least 3 options there would have been no majority winner. If i see that discussion takes us in the direction of only two options I may set a poll up.

right now, i might lean towards keeping it at 72, for entirely self-serving reasons. i no longer have access to fantasy sports websites at work, and as i'm learning in my basketball legues, i don't check in every day. now, with baseball, i'm more involved, typically, but still, anything shorter than 48 hours would put me at a disadvantage.

so... 48 or 72 is my vote.

I'm with metsmarathon on this, I can't check fantasy sports from work anymore(sucks) and if AI don't check in before I leave for work I miss some moves, IIRC though yahoo is not updated before 7am each day.

48 hours is fine with me.

I'll vote for 72, followed by 48.

I see no reason not to leave this poll open at least until the day before the draft, its not like it will matter in anyone's draft strategy.

i vote 24, then 48. 72 hours is too long for both waivers and trades. If you can't check your site at least once every 2 days, then you deserve to be at a disadvantage.
