Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Anyone know the enemy?Your starter in Game 1 vs. El Duque is JD Durbin, who so far has allowed 7 ER in 2/3rds of an inning for an ERA of 94.50.Watch LoDuca today: Game 2 starter Cole Hamels suggested he might get in the way of a fastball as a result of his HR last time they opposed one another. Plus, I dunno if you saw today's Snooze, but he (LoDuca) apparently told the press to fuck off and start bothering his Hispanic teammates instead.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I'm interested to see if they go for the sweep aggressively by packing the B-Teamers into game one, and save the regulars for Hamels.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 The Lo Duca story seems like a classick tabloid sensationalism.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 LoDuca seemed pissed to say the least, here is one quote, and on a day the Immigration Bill was shot down no less.]"I'll do this (interview), but you need to start talking to other players," Lo Duca announced loudly after he was approached by a radio reporter after the Mets-Cardinals series finale was washed out by rain. "It's the same three or four people every day. Nobody else wants to talk. Some of these guys have to start talking. They speak English, believe me."Back to the game, there hardly seems a better place to play to get the offence going again.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 LoDuca: The catcher with a fiery personality, which we always longed for
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 It sounds to me like Lo Duce was extracting the urine a little bit.

Guest sharpie Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Good, LoDuca hits against Hamels. Switch in Gomez, Easley and PLoD, leave the rest of the guys in there for Game 2.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 With the lefty going tonight, I woulda given Gotay a start this afternoon.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 To do:1. Kick ass.2. Take names.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Durbin struck out the side in the first,Hernandez struck out Utley and Howard in the bottom of the first.no score.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Wright leads off the 2nd with a double and Delgado KABOOMS him home.2-0 Good Guys.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Delgado kicks ass. Delgado can also be relied on to take names.Wondering whether Willie was thinking of running Franco out for game two.Wondering, if so, whether Willie might be reconsidering.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Aah. Aaron Rowand takes one of those runs back. Boo, Aaron, boo.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Rastro with an RBI double.Howie Rose: Delgado's 2 ABs this afternoon showcased his "best swings against fastballs in a long time."
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Delgado has his second extra-base hit.The good news is that they're going to try and leave this poor lamb Durbin in there to save as much of their pen as they can for the second game. It's important for the Mets to chase him as early as possible.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 El Duque single scores Castro from 2nd.(shoulda been out but Barajas couldn't corral the ball)
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Ledee scores on the Wild Pitch, 6-1.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Delgado is 3-3 after an infield smash off Howard's glove.1st & 3rd for the Big Jew.
