seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Tim was too busy kissing Derek Jeter's ass.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Bringing him in with a four-run lead in the second game. Nice.

ESPN is usually the network that declines to let the viewers know about defensive changes. There was at least one (if not two) times this year where Chavez has been brought in for defense and I had no idea until I saw him make a catch.IIRC, that happened against the Cardinals -- first game of the year -- and later someone called WFAN to yell about Willie not putting in Chavez -- when in fact he had, exactly when the caller said he should have.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 C'mon Bobby, GIDP. You know you can do it.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Jorge is having quite a season thus far ....
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I was about to post that the FOXies are really on their game tonight. Posada "completely irreplaceable, both now and in the future" for the Yankees? You're telling me there isn't a single catcher in the league who they'd be willing to replace Posada with?Jesus, fellas, at least TRY to be impartial. I'm watching the rest of this on mute.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Wagner not bringin' the baked beans to MENSA meeting.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Pitchers are such dipshits sometimes
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Question... is that play partially LoDuca's fault? Shouldn't he be the guy yelling FIRST FIRST FIRST FIRST while Wagner's picking up the ball?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 If he's chasing the ball also. It's hard to yell that effectively while staying home.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 He should be, but Wagner wasn't even close when throwing to LoDuca. I still say all Billy's fault.Cano Ks. 2 outs.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Moral Victory Rubber Game, to-morrow nite.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 And the Mets win the damn thing by the score of 10-7.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 What the fuck Billy.Mets win the damn thing.
Guest iramets Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 That was such a total poochscrewing by Wagner--didn't anyone tell him that he had a 4 run lead, that A-Rod's scoring didn'[t matter at all, that he had bobbled the fucking ball, that he had a choice between a tag play at the plate and a force play at first base? If he'd made a perfect throw, it was a shitty, moronic play.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 "moronic" isn't even the right word. the only explanation i can think of is that he was trying to protect his miniscule (0.50 entering play today) ERA, and thats a bad bad bad reason to do something.
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 You know you're having a bad day if you make an error by throwing a ball that hits you on your own foot
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I think the Mets should send over a few Schaefers for Cano. After Wright and Chavez, he was probably was the best thing the Mets offense had going for it today.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 You know, when it's all said and done the double-steal ahead of the Franco error was a big, b-i-g, BIG freakin play. Nearly made up for N.D. getting caught with one out, Beltran up and Reyes on 3rd earlier. If he ever does that again I'm going to love him just a little less than I do now. Which is a lot, don't get me wrong. But that's only a good play if you make it 100% of the time.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I agree with that. In Endy's defense, up until that point, Posada hadn't demonstrated he could reach second base.
