Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 OK, Rook! No pressure. It's just Opening Day and one on and none out. Bring it on, Joe!

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I wonder what the number of MLB newbies made their debuts as Mets is? Something to quickly look up some other time.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Nice decision not to pick up that chopper by Eckstein and let it roll foul. Not that it mattered in the end.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Now would be a good time for a DP!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 And Joe Smith becomes the ONLY "Joe Smith" in major league history. There's this guy, but his name was really Salvatore.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 First Met to strike out: ReyesWinner: Johnny Dshot
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 A K works as well. And this is Baptism by fire against Pujols

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 come on Joe. Geterdun.Any suggestions where else LoDuke can put his hand to keep it safe?I mean--how did that ball find his hand?I was worried there for a minute.Eww...Joe walks Pujols.Bases juiced, 1 out.Id trade all those other DPs for one now.Bring on Aaron.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I might have left him in also -- get the ground ball -- but maybe he's scuffling. Tough spot to make your major league debut, against the heart of the order of the defending WS champs on Opening Day.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 This is getting a little more exciting than I would have liked.
