Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Wouldn't mind seeing one get loose and hit Speizio in the mouth.Using this redneck with a 5-run lead is a little much, willie.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Yeah but I have that nice widescreen thing goingFat Ass with another hit against us!Taguchi on deck as well...

There is no excuse to ever get picked off by that play.Hmmm. I meant to say I haven't seen it work before. Not sure how Edgy knew what I meant. He's a perceptive one.

Guest holychicken Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 How can I be so nervous with a 4 run lead in the 9th on the first day of the season?Thankfully, we have a day off tomorrow.MetsBest record in the league.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Nice game.In a rare moment of making a good point, putting in Wagner was probably ok with the off day tomorrow. Otherwise I probably would've gone with Burgos.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Ah, baseball. How sweet it is!Great game! Lots of singles and lots of great defense. Not exactly what I'm expecting for the rest of the season, but if this is the result most of the time, I'll take it.On to the next!
Lundy Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Good to see offensive contributions from Alou and Green, tow guys who had a less than stellar spring.A solid defensive game, with gems from Alou, Beltran with the throw to nail Eckstein at the plate, and a nice stop from Valentin to start a double play.Even with a five run lead, Wagner makes it interesting. Glad we didn't get to Pujols in the ninth.I know that Peter Gammons had some health problems last year; it was good to see him seemingly back at full strength.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Now they are going to show The Natural. This has been a perfect night.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 The defense was outstanding.LaGenius hardly covered himself in glory: Two runners out between 3rd and home is pukeworthy. If I'm him I go take a nap in my car
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Zvon, good to see you again.Baseball, great to see you again!Seaver: hail!
