They've been printing/ reporting that stat for Abreau, so somebody's counting it. But I don't know where its recorded/ available.

I believe that I just heard recently that 15 to 17 1/2 would be the average for pitches per inning.
So-5 to 6 ?

Well, that would assume that the average inning has three batters, which is impossible, since that's the minimum.

I wonder how many plate appearances there are in the average inning? I'd guess a little over four, but it's just a wild guess.

Low P/PA guys are a little over 3 per, while high guys average near 4.5

So figure that it's around 3.75 - although the high guys might get more ABs than the low ones meaning that the overall weighted avg wouldn't necc be at the midpoint of the high & low. Prolly a shade under 4 is my guess.
