Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Cardinals are in a tight division race. I'm guessing this game matters quite a bit to Cincinatti.

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Rain delay theater allowed Gary to catch us up on the news of the day -El Duque won't pitch tomorrow after all. They say he's not injured, but they're nonetheless skipping his start. Bannister will pitch tomorrow, and Oliver Perez will likely pitch Saturday. In the meantime, following his knee surgery, Ramon Castro has been moved to the 60-day DL.In his pre-game interview, Shawn Green expressed a lotof excitement about becoming a Met and about being reunited with Carlos Delgado, who helped Green out a lot in the minor leagues and at the beginning of his major league career.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Any mention of who's no longer on the active roster?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Yes, Castro is done for the year. According to the Mets.com roster, Ledee is gone.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 7 lefty swingers (including the switchies) going against Marquis de Card tonight.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Taguchi singles with one out and promptly steals second.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Maine gets Pujols and Rolen to end the inning unscathed.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Encarnacion just misses making what would have been a great catch, and Reyes is on first with a leadoff single.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I love the socks on the Marquis de Suck. Staying with fashion, I've become really keen on the snow white uni's and the two-tone crazy helmet. I think it looks great.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Reyes's bloop is one that Edmonds sucks up easily. He'd spread some mustard on it doing so ... but he'd almost certainly get it.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 LoDuca is HBP. Runners on first and second, nobody out.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Beltran pops up for the first out.

But Marquis' stirrups are kickin'.Marquis is pretty cool, a Staten Island fella like myself. Met him once, he seemed cool. Glad he's out of Atlanta.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Crap - Delgado hits into a DP to end the inning
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 ESPN2 is being blacked out on my system -- which I assume means that his game is being televised by them nationally for any of you out-of-towners who are normally shut out.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Maine pitches a nice 1-2-3 second.
