Well, Franco strikes out. So no grand slam for Beltran this inning. (At least, not the first time through the order.)

I think he's saying it becomes notable that the Mets have never had a no-hitter because they traded a guy who eventually had 7, whereas otherwise we might not notice it as much. I think that have great pitchers like Seaver and Gooden pitch superbly for the Mets and the fact that pitchers like Seaver and Gooden only got no-hitters for other teams adds to the mystery and aura.

Egg-actly

Solid single for Reyes. Let's get him home!

Will Endy bunt?

Ole Jose - Reyes is on base with a single.

Reyes with a base hit. Here's hoping it's worth something under the "R".

I still don't understand that green SpongeBob guy.

Outfield pop for Chavez.

They're playing Beltran's song again.

Beltran singles Reyes to third!

It's up to Delgado now!

Not a 3-run homer, but a bloop single.

Runners on the corners, two out.

Some pbp right this second would be nice.

Just heard on ESPN Radio's Sports Center that Prior actually had possible arm problems when he left? Anyone hear this on the broadcast?

Double steal, I say.

And Delgado strikes out swinging to end the inning.

I guess they're going to give the ball to Wagner?

I'm not feeling like this is going to go well.

We tied them in the hit column.

Sounds like pure speculation to me - based solely on him leaving while he still had a no-hitter.
Dusty came out to talk to him one batter prior to him being pulled - and then pulled him when he didn't retire that batter. Seems illogical that an injury occured right at that moment.

I remember when Victor Zambrano got visited before pitching to one final batter. Of course, this time Prior didn't charge off the mound as if he had liquid feces in his pants.

True, hence why sports center anchors (radio and TV) should not spice their reports with commentary
