Nah, Rusch has much better control, making the IW less dangerous than w/most pitchers.

They flash it at Shea at the start of the game (while the Mets pitcher is taking his first warmups).

Seems to me with this win, the Mets are 13-15 with the White uniforms (the only uniforms in which they have a losing record.

Indeed. Most of the groups stayed for the whole thing! I was very pleased.

It's "[something] aqui!" I think. No spanish skills here, but that's the eternal question on the "Mets Entrance Music" theme. Every at-bat for the past 2 years, it's the same song. I really want to know.

Fun IGT, sure, but it was fun to be there.

Coupla things I didn't see in the IGT:

Weather: Rick Peterson, no jacket.

Willie going out to talk to Maine rather than Peterson. Don't think I've ever seen Willie go out to the mound other than to change a pitcher/injury in his 1.5 years as manager.

Camp groups all over the upper deck. Some into the game, some chanting "let's go Yankees," some starting the wave.

Maine is turning into a fan favorite.

Less than almost two months since the Mets' last extra-inning shutout. Not bad.

The only bad part was eating Heilman's ass. Bleh.
