Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 You guys are a couple of cut-ups. Can we please just talk about baseball without all this doom & gloom shit here? By the way I had no idea what Elster's orignial post was about and now it's avi'ed so I guess I'll never know.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 i didnt see the first post either, doom and gloom should go in the "Bret Lite Forum"maybe bret should post here to get this thread movedsc= alot
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 83 and WP, the OP by Elster had to do with the fact that Elster and Mazzilli had that Boy Toy look that jealous guys tend to say "Awww he's obviously gay" about. Think Derek Jeter, Keith Hernandez, Mike Piazza, ect, basically their manhood is questioned because, they tend to court the ladies and play the part of a great romancier.AAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNYYYYYY Way, Bret noticed that when Ellie was at the Maz Avatar level (Elster is now at the more "manly" I guess Bobby Jones level) that it made for an "Ambigously Gay Duo" type of combination, like Met Fans do when they see Jeter and ARod in the same photo. Elster agreed and suggested other combos, specfically Piazza and Elster.Apparantly this disscussion has ended since the page has been edited
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Jesus I hate when the Mets are not playing......

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Yeah, it sounds so gay and Elster's still getting over having Mazzilli hanging over his head.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Yeah that reminds me, thanks for reposting what I deleted.Helpful as always.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I'm sorry, Elster -- I was making a broad generalization about how I perceivethe state of the union and probably misplaced were I should have made thatcomment. I'm sorry you felt you needed to avi that and was surprised to find itthis morning.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 No need to apologize. It was a stupid post in the first place.

Sorry again
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Lots of apologies these days. We have a very polite forum.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 It's the new kinder, gentler version of the CPF.
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 It's amazing what getting rid of the trash element will do.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Yeah, well, I don't apologize for SHEET!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I love how many responses these avi threads get. And it's funny how often it happens on off-days. I think it shows how much we need baseball.Yesterday I was so bored I actually watched a man hold his breath on TV.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Avi: a poster at Metsonline.net who got upset and quit, but not before erasing every post he had ever done over his month of membership, replacing each post with a single period.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Huh! I had no idea. I thought AVI was an acronym for something.I guess he really was upset.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Avi's Top Ten:http://cybermessageboard.ehost.com/getalife/viewtopic.php?t=12This place really needs an FAQ. Frayed did the original one. Care to take a crack at it?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Ciunt me as one who could never figure out what Avi was, thanks for the education, where is he now, anyone know?
